Tips for law enforcement interview?
I am preparing for a pre-acceptance interview for a law enforcement training program. The interview is conducted by the director of the program. I have been told by a number of sources within the school and former graduates of the program that the make or break question in the interview is "are you capable of using deadly force, could you kill someone". Any advice on how to appropriately answer this question without sounding timid and unsure while not sounding like a psycho.

First off, why are you looking forsomeone else to tell you the right answer on that, when this is a very personal question that you should answer yourself that shows your state of mind.
If you cant nswer this, or dont know the right answer, then thats something that shows maybe your dont have the proper mindset at this time.
Just like many young soldiers go into battle thinking how glamourous it would be to shoot someone, and when the time comes they cant handle it in battle.
Alot revert to their training when it does happen, but the reason there are so many post war traumas in soldiers is because they were never adept at rationiling the use of deadly force on another person…thats why after it happens there head screws just alittle bit, and they end up unprepared.
So instead of asking osmeone for help on this one, maybe you sit down long and hard and really think about why you want to become a police officer.
Life has a way of working itself out in the end.
So if you cant figure this out on your own, wait till you get into this situation because you copied someone elses answer, and find yourself hopeless after the fact.
